With a combination of videos, articles, and tip sheets, this course introduces the first-time memoir writer to a variety of digital tools that will support their writing process. Videos include:
- Ways to use the internet to locate information and images from times past
- Ideas for illustrating your memoir even if you are not an artist
- Suggestions for organizing your materials and drafts so they are always at your fingertips
- Digital aids that help with spelling, grammar, and syntax
- And more!
We bet you have a story to tell! Think about the major events/trends/changes we Boomers and Seniors have experienced over the past 50-70 years. Space travel, life before social media–before TV, driverless cars, changes in society that our grandparents couldn’t have imagined, and so much more. How have these experiences shaped who you are today? Memoir writing helps us reflect on our lives and gives us some perspectives that are worth sharing. Feeling unsure of your writing ability? This course will introduce you to several digital tools/resources, accessible on all digital devices, to ease your worries.
